What  types  of  courses  do  you  offer  ?

AIG  odffers   courses  in  gemology  ,  jewellery  designing  ,   diamonds  ,  pearls  ,  evaluation  of  jewellery  ,  workshops  which  are  held  in  the  campus  .  We  also  offer  distance  course  education   for  students  who  are  unable  to  attend  regular  lectures  . 

 

 

What  are  the  major  differences  between  The  Graduate  Gemmologist  Programme  &  The  Gem  Awareness   Programme   ?

The  GGP  is  designed  for  individuals  who  want  in  depth  ,  technical  training  in  the  field  of  gemmology  .  Offered  on  the  campus  ,  the  programme   emphasises  the  development  and  grading  and  identification  skills  for  coloured  gemstones  .  this  programme  is  scientifically  planned  right  from  minning  to  market  .  (  See  course  coverage  on  pg  11   )  .

The  GAP  is  designed  for  sales -  oriented  individuals  who  need  essential  product  knowledge  to  sell  or  buy  jewellery  effectively .  The  course  gemstones  available  on  the  Indian   market  .

How  long  does  it  take  to  earn  the  A  Graduate  Gemmologist  Diploma  ?

Approximately  3  months  on  campus  programming  .

 

 

How  long  does  it  take  to  earn  the  Gem  Awareness  Certificate   ?

Approximately  1   months  on  campus  programme  .

 

 

Can  I  enrol  a  single  course  ?

Yes  .  You  can  enrol  a  single  course  and  apply  each  course  toward  the  eventual  completion  of  your  diploma  requirements  if  you  choose  .

 

 

How  effective  are  the  audio  visual  tapes  ?

They  are  powerful  tool  for  those   individuals  who  are  doing  the  distance course education  programme  .  It  is  a  insight  into  the  gem   world  which  comes  handy  for  study  purposes  . 

 

 

Do  I  have  to  go  to  the  AIG  campus  to  take  my  exams  ?

Yes  .  It  is  compulsory  to  give  exams  on  the  AIG  campus  .  Whether  you  are  aspiring  to  complete  the  course  or  distance  education course  .

 

 

 

Where  can  I  get  instruments  needed  to  complete  The  Distance  Education  Course  ?

You  may  attend  the  students  laboratory  or  purchase  them  .

 

 

What  does  a  stand  by  status mean  on  campus  pertaining  to  any  of  the  above  mentioned  courses  offered  by  the  institute  ?

It  means  you  will  be  placed  on  a  waiting  list  until  30  days  prior  to  start  of  your  programme  ,  when  we  an  confirm  space  availability  .

 

 

Can  you  help  me  in  find  housing  in  Pune  ?

Yes  .  Contact  your   office  and  get  all  information  on   this  front  .The  tution  fees  does  not  include  this  facility  .  You  have  to  pay  seperately  for  the  same  .  We  take  no  responsibility  towards  any  thing  that  happens  outside  the  campus  . 

 

 

What  are  the  deadlines  for  enrolling  on   the  campus  ?

A  schedule  has  been  provided  for  your  convenience  .  While  there  is  no  specific  deadlines  for  short  courses  ,  class  size  is  limited  so  we  encourage  you  to   apply  early  .  Your  applications  must  be  completed  ,  including  all  required  documents  and  fe  in  order  to  hold  a  reserved   a  seat  .  There  is  definite  deadline  for  the  8  months  course  which  may  have  been  early  mentioned  in  Comprehensive  course  details  .  Check  the  enrollment  dates  out  for  the  same  .

    Duration : 40 weeks (800 instruction hrs)

    Class Hours : Mon-Fri 12.30 - 4.30pm.

    Course Commences on 16 th july (Mon)

    Entrance Test on 28 th june .

    Application and Prospectus is available for Rs 995 / - by cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of

    Aastha Institute Of Gemmology .

    Last Date of filling Application forms is 20 th June .

    Duration : 12 weeks (150 instruction hrs)
